Dear Bill: Weekly advice from Beltin’ Bill Melton

The White Sox announced on Saturday they have placed pitcher Michael Ynoa on the 10-day disabled list and recalled reliever Brad Goldberg from Triple-A Charlotte.

Ynoa left Friday’s game against the Detroit Tigers with a right hip flexor strain.

The 25-year-old Ynoa is 1-0 with a 4.35 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 16 games with the White Sox this season.

Goldberg, 27, has appeared in 17 games with the Charlotte Knights in 2017 and has registered a 2-1 record with a 1.99 ERA and 22 strikeouts.

Goldberg, originally drafted by the White Sox in 2013 out of Ohio State, has no major-league experience.

The White Sox will look to get back on track and put an end to a three-game losing streak when they continue their series against the Tigers at 2:30 p.m. on CSN.
